IT IS A NEW DAY! The sun is up! It brings warmth and light and the promise of joy. It is one of the few things you can count on these days that is a good thing. See Annie’s Song at the end of this article.

But if you are achy and tired maybe you’d rather just shut your eyes, go back to sleep and ignore the day.

Bonnie was always looking to see how she could use her own experiences to help not only herself but others too. After a particularly hard physically difficult time she developed From Bed to Better for herself and for you too.

The exercises in this series are for the pelvic and low back area of your body. The pelvis is the center of you, so any movement brings warming circulation to the middle of you and subsequently to the north and south of you. The simple pelvic tilts get the blood flowing and warm the muscles. Warm muscles move more easily and don’t ache as much.

In addition to getting the blood flowing, pelvic tilts do two things. They strengthen your abdominals and encourage low back flexibility, both of which help protect you from having low back pain. Fifty percent of low back pain is caused by weak abdominals.

GET STARTED NOW. You don’t even have to get out of bed to begin. And once you are up, each time you go by your bed during the rest of your day, lie down and do one of the exercises. In no time at all you will begin to feel a difference. And as Bonnie says: “Habit is the best teacher… try not to miss any!” Bed to Better Exercises

ANNIE’S SONG
The sun’ll come out, tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar, that tomorrow
There’ll be sun!

Just thinking about, tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs, and the sorrow
‘Til there’s none!

When I’m stuck in a day
That’s gray and lonely
I just stick out my chin
And grin and say

The sun’ll come out, tomorrow
So you gotta hang on ’til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love ya, tomorrow
You’re always a day away

When I’m stuck in a day
That’s gray and lonely
I just stick out my chin
And grin and say

The sun’ll come out, tomorrow
So you gotta hang on ’til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love ya, tomorrow
You’re always a day away!
